TORONTO-With almost 2.5 million views on YouTube, a gay teen’s heart-wrenching anti-bullying YouTube video has gone viral.
In the clip “Whats going on…” [sic], fourteen-year-old Jonah Mowry says he’s been bullied since the first grade. In tears, Mowry shares his powerful message through a series of cue cards while Sia’s “Breathe Me” serves as the video’s audio track.
“I’ve cut … a lot. I have scars,” admits Mowry on two of the cards. “Suicide was an option…many times.”
Mowry, however, ends the clip on a light note. “I’m not going anywhere
because I’m stronger than that and I have a million reasons to be here.”

Mowry’s anti-bullying video isn’t the first one to make headlines. In September, fourteen-year-old Jamey Rodemeyer committed suicide after “constant taunting from the same people over and over.” Rodemeyer was featured in the high-profile “It Gets Better” campaign to help gay youths who are victims of bullying committed suicide.
