Halifax man faces child pornography related charges

Police say that ICE investigators conducted a search of an apartment on Dawn Street and that officers arrested a suspect at the scene as well as seized computer equipment.

HALIFAX- Michael Lawton Day, 34, faces charges of possession of child pornography, accessing child pornography and making available child pornography after a search today in Halifax by the Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division.

Police say that ICE investigators conducted a search of an apartment on Dawn Street and that officers arrested a suspect at the scene as well as seized computer equipment.

Day is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court on April 9.

Police say that he was released from custody under conditions to not communicate with children under the age of 16, not possess a device able to access the internet and not be within 50 meters of a place known to be frequented by children.
