The remains of a newborn baby have been found in a landfill in Lloydminster, Alberta.
RCMP had been searching the landfill in the city that straddles the Alberta-Saskatchewan boundary since last Friday. Police say they got a 911 call on Nov. 19 after a Lloydminster-area woman experienced medical difficulties after giving birth.
The search of the landfill started shortly after. The remains were taken to the medical examiner’s office for autopsy. There is no word on charges.
