Gun scare at Village Square Leisure Centre

CALGARY – Police took two men into custody on Wednesday evening after a gun scare at the Village Square Leisure Centre.

Officers were called to the facility in the 2600 block of 56th Street N.E. around 8:30 p.m. after someone reported seeing a man with a gun.

Witnesses indicated there had been an altercation earlier in the evening, after which, the suspect returned to the arena with the gun.

Officers arrested two men at the scene, one of whom did have a weapon.

Police are still looking for a third possible suspect.
