WHITBY, Ont. – A 25-year-old man is facing human trafficking charges after police allege he repeatedly attacked a Toronto-area sex worker he previously worked with.
Durham Region police say the man provided advertising and transportation for a 20-year-old woman who worked as an escort in May of last year.

They allege he quickly became physically abusive and kept all the proceeds of her work, so the woman ended their business relationship within a week.
Police say the man held a knife to the escort’s throat, pepper sprayed and robbed her after a friend of his found her in December.
They say he tracked her down again in January and assaulted and robbed her.
Taylor Eibbitt of no fixed address is charged with 14 offences including trafficking in persons, material benefit from sexual services and robbery.
His friend who found the escort in December is charged with robbery and possession of a prohibited weapon.
