KELOWNA–Some residents of a Kelowna apartment building are out of their home after a fire in an apartment complex Wednesday night.
The blaze broke out shortly after 9:30 p.m. on Briarwood Road, just off of Rutland Road North.

When firefighters arrived, they saw flames venting out of the back of the building.
Seventeen firefighters were sent to the scene, along with a platoon captain and a safety officer, four engines and a rescue truck.
Crews were able to knock down the fire quite quickly.
