VERNON — A former Vernon mountie facing child pornography charges has been arrested again in Alberta.
Strathmore RCMP say 37–year–old Ryan Hampton was picked up for impaired driving and possession of stolen property on Monday.
A search of the car turned up a red and blue light bar and a siren.
It was June of 2013 when Hampton was charged with possession of child pornography, accessing child pornography and obstructing a police investigation. He was suspended from the force, and later quit.
A trial for those charges is scheduled for March 2 in Vernon.
Hampton will appear in Strathmore provincial court on March 17, to answer to the impaired driving and possession of stolen property charges.
