HALIFAX – Halifax Regional Police have two men in custody after chasing them for nearly two hours through the woods by Herring Cove.
Just after 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday, police responded to a break and enter at Wilson’s Gas Stop at 225 Ketch Harbour Road.
Police said one of the doors had been forced open and several items had been disturbed. They also noticed some foot prints in the snow outside the gas station.
Two K-9 units were brought, and police chased the suspects through a wooded area towards Herring Cove Road.
They eventually caught the suspects hiding in a shed behind a lumber mart.
The men will appear in court Tuesday to face numerous charges, including break and enter.
