VANCOUVER – Target Canada started its liquidation sales on Thursday and it appears many shoppers flocked to the Coquitlam Centre location to take advantage of the deals.
Line ups at the checkouts are very long and the perishable grocery section has already been mostly cleaned out.

Decor, sporting goods, Valentine’s Day merchandise and luggage – 20% off.

Video games and home entertainment – 10% off.
Toys – 20% off.
Baby stuff – 10% off.
Baby clothes – 20% off.
Apple goods – 5% off.
Furniture – 10% off.
Clothes – 20% off.
Shoes, watches, wallets and purses – 20% off.
Canucks stuff – 20% off.
Sunglasses and jewellery – 30 % off.
Greeting cards and party goods – 30% off.
Art supplies – 20% off.
Appliances and vacuums – 10% off.
The U.S.-based retailer announced last month that it will be closing all 133 of its Canadian stores and laying off more than 17,000 staff. The U.S. chain arrived in Canada to widespread fanfare in March 2013, but a series of operational missteps led to the demise of the Canadian chain less than two years after launch.
