Grey Cup arrives in Vancouver

The Grey Cup has arrived in Vancouver.

The venerable trophy landed in the city just after 11 Wednesday morning aboard a Canadian Forces Cormorant helicopter.

It marks the official kickoff to one of the biggest football parties the province has ever seen.

The B.C. Lions take on the Winnipeg Blue Bombers for the ultimate prize in Canadian football Sunday afternoon at BC Place.

The game is sold out, as are many of the activities requiring tickets.

Drivers will see the first real signs of the Grey Cup festivities today with street closures in the 700 and 800 blocks of Beatty Street and the 100 and 200 blocks of Robson Street as setup begins for the Telus Street Festival.
