LONGUEUIL, Que. – Innergex Renewable Energy Inc. (TSX:INE) announced Tuesday that it has received regulatory approval for a 20-year power purchase agreement covering sales of electricity from its Viger-Denonville community wind farm in Quebec.
“This marks yet another milestone for the Viger-Denonville project, which we are very proud to be developing in partnership with the Riviere-du-Loup RCM,” Innergex president and CEO Michel Letellier said.

The 50-50 joint venture wind farm, located in Saint-Paul-de-la-Croix and Saint-Epiphane, will include 12 wind turbines with an installed capacity of 24.6 megawatts.
Hydro-Quebec, the government-owned provincial utility, awarded the power purchase agreement to Innergex in December 2010.
Construction on the $75-million project is expected to begin in the spring of 2013, with commercial operation slated for December of that year. The project is expected to generate annual revenues of about $10 million.
Innergex Renewable Energy Inc. (TSX: INE) is a developer, owner and operator of run-of-river hydroelectric facilities and wind energy projects in North America and a developer of solar photovoltaic installations.
Its portfolio of projects includes interests in 23 operating facilities with an aggregate net installed capacity of 400.5 MW as well as interests in 12 projects under development or under construction.
