WINNIPEG — A five kilometer section of Highway 59’s northbound lane just north of the city was closed to traffic after a two vehicle crash late Thursday afternoon.
RCMP responded to the collision between Dunning Road and Garven Road just before 5 p.m. Thursday. RCMP initial reports are that the two pickup trucks collided head on in the northbound lane.

Serious injuries have been reported and the cause of the collision is currently unknown.
The view from Global’s Skyview 1 shows traffic backed up down Highway 59. The highway was reopened just before 8 p.m.
