First storm of the season hits Saskatoon

The first winter storm of the season has finally hit Saskatoon.

Global Saskatoon Weather Specialist Jesse Beyer says up to 10 cm of the white stuff could blanket the city by Friday morning.

The snow will be blown around by wind from the east at 30 km/h with gusts up to 50 km/h, reducing visibility.

Highway hotline is already reporting poor driving conditions, with reduced visibility on all highways around Saskatoon along with loose, blowing and drifting snow.

The low tonight should dip to -16C with the wind chill making it feel like -27C.
