Watch above: The Hells Angels clubhouse in Saskatoon was one of several locations searched by Saskatoon police and RCMP Wednesday morning. As Wendy Winiewski reports other locations in Warman and Alberta were also searched as part of the same investigation.
SASKATOON – A massive police raid began before daybreak Wednesday with several homes and buildings cordoned off including the Hells Angels clubhouse in Saskatoon. The biker gang’s gathering spot on 11th street was surrounded by a group of officers sporting rifles and a bulletproof armored vehicle.
RCMP and the Saskatoon Police Service said it’s all part of an ongoing investigation spanning Saskatoon and other locations in Saskatchewan and Alberta. Multiple arrests were made at a home on Guenther Crescent in the bedroom community of Warman, Sask., according to a neighbor.
“They were dressed up like military men in military uniform, guns drawn,” said the neighbour who doesn’t want to be identified for safety reasons. “I’m not sure but the one almost appeared like he was a sniper ‘cause he had one of those tripods he was carrying.”

Mounties were also present on Crystal Springs Drive in Warman. Police surrounded a home on Rajput Crescent in Saskatoon’s Evergreen neighbourhood as well as a home in the city’s north end on Silverwood Road. There, two loud bangs woke the woman who lives next door.
“I’ve never heard a gunshot so I don’t really know if it was gunshots or not,” she said. “Then just a few minutes ago tow trucks hauled their vehicles away.”
There was another corresponding search across the city on Brown Crescent in the Adelaide/Churchill neighbourhood.
“A tactical unit came and did a raid on the home two doors down,” said a resident of Brown Crescent. “That’s about all I know.”
Police confirm there are several searches taking place today, into what, they have yet to disclose. There’s one definite recurring theme according to neighbours.
“They’re a newer couple who just moved in,” said the Brown Crescent resident.
A similar story from the woman on Silverwood Road who confirms they just moved in at the end of December.
Likewise in Warman, where a neighbor says they just moved in a couple months ago.
Police and RCMP both say there is no risk to public safety.
Both organizations refrained from commenting Wednesday and say further details about the searches and investigations will be released on Thursday.
