EDMONTON — A power outage on Calgary Trail wreaked havoc on Monday’s afternoon commute.
The lights were out at 34th Avenue, which turned the usually-busy intersection into a four-way stop and transformed Calgary Trail into a parking lot. Backed-up traffic stretched all the way to Whitemud Drive.
EPCOR could not comment on what had caused the outage but said crews were working to restore power.
The power outage stretched from 103 to 106 Streets between 28 & 45 Avenues.
