WINNIPEG – A crash involving a tractor-trailer and a minivan sent one person to hospital with serious injuries Friday.
The collision at Plessis Road and Fermor Avenue happened just before 3 p.m. The minivan appeared badly damaged on the road; the semi also had significant front end damage and was in the ditch.

Police say the one occupant of the minivan went to hospital in unstable condition.
Police tweeted that Plessis Road was closed “between Fermor (Avenue) and St. Boniface” and should reopen by about 6 p.m.
