Okanagan Forecast: Increasing Cloud… Snow on Sunday

Weather update: Wednesday December 31th 4:15pm

Happy New Year!

Variable cloud with a few sunny breaks to kick of 2015. A temperature inversion has set up, and there will be some morning valley cloud Thursday. Also clouds will start to spill in from the north as we switch to a northwesterly flow aloft.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

A chance of flurries is in the forecast on Friday and Saturday as a system pushes clouds and moisture into our region. Not much accumulation is expected then, but a stronger system will move in on Sunday bringing a greater chance of accumulating new snow.

We will not have local news broadcasts on New Years Day, but will return on Friday. All the best to you and your family in 2015!

Our broadcast tonight will start at 5:30pm, and we will also have a 6:30pm show. Our 11pm show on New Year’s Eve is preempted.
