REGINA – Two people – a 10-year-old boy and a 61-year-old woman – are unaccounted for following a house fire on the Ahtahkakoop First Nation.

Both were thought to be inside the home that was found “fully engulfed in flames” Monday morning.

Shellbrook RCMP and fire departments from neighbouring communities are helping with the firefighting effort.

Two men were able to escape the burning home and are being treated for smoke inhalation.

RCMP say the fire continues to burn and that it is currently too hot to approach the site.
