EDMONTON — EPCOR crews were called to Edmonton’s Telus Field Saturday afternoon after flooding in the parking lot and nearby roadways.

EPCOR says a pipe in the mechanical room burst, causing water to come pouring out the door and into the parking lot. Water streamed down 96 Avenue and onto 101 Street, which may make for icy road conditions into Saturday evening.

EPCOR says no one was impacted by the flooding and there were no events scheduled at the venue.

The force of the water was so powerful it caused the door to the mechanical room to bend.

The City of Edmonton says water damage inside the building was limited to the first floor, although the extent of the damage is still not known.
