A search of the property turned up numerous stolen items including a spool of copper wire and a stolen truck that was being dismantled. Investigators believe the fire was started by someone attempting to melt copper in the house’s fireplace.

That person fled before the authorities arrived and police are now looking for a Saskatoon man. No charges have been laid and his name has not been released.
