EDMONTON – A 28-year-old B.C. man was arrested after causing a disturbance on a plane leaving the Edmonton International Airport Monday.

The RCMP was called to a departing gate at the airport to help with the passenger, who was later arrested on Canada-wide warrants without incident.

Justin Haevischer, 28, of Nanaimo, B.C., was wanted on a warrant related to a charge of being an accessory after the fact to a 2007 murder. The warrants were issued out of Surrey, B.C.

The 28-year-old appeared in Wetaskiwin court Tuesday morning.

Justin is the brother of Cody Haevischer, found guilty in October of conspiracy and six counts of first-degree murder in the so-called Surrey Six murder.
