EDMONTON – A fire in north Edmonton sent two people to hospital in serious condition early Sunday morning.
Edmonton Fire Rescue arrived at Northwoods Village near 152 Avenue and 114 Street just after 3 a.m. Crews were contacted by a neighbour in an adjoining suite who smelled smoke.
The fire was under control at 3:27 a.m. and declared out at 4:14 a.m.
One man and one woman, both in their twenties, were taken to hospital in serious condition.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but officials say it started on the stove in the kitchen.

Damages are estimated to be $100,000.
