UPDATE: Missing Saskatchewan fisherman found dead under ice

ASSINIBOIA, Sask. – A family is concerned for the well-being of a missing man who said he was going ice fishing in south-central Saskatchewan on the weekend. RCMP are now asking for the public’s help in locating John Rustad.

On the morning of Dec. 13, Rustad, 76, said was going to Willows Dam which is approximately 10 kilometres east of Assiniboia, Sask. He has not been seen or heard from since.

Rustad is described as five-foot six-inches, 180 lbs, with brown eyes and short grey hair. He wears glasses and does not have facial hair.

RCMP say he is likely in the company of his small breed dog named Clarence. Rustad is also believed to be driving his black and red 1991 Chevrolet S10 pickup truck with Saskatchewan licence plate number 759 ERY.
