PHOTOS: Windstorm causes damage, downs trees in Southern B.C.

VANCOUVER – It was a windy night for many around B.C.’s South Coast, with residents waking up to damages and downed trees.

At its peak, more than 70,000 BC Hydro customers were left without power due to the windstorm and the downed trees made for a messy and longer commute in some areas.

This was the third day of storms sweeping across the South Coast, but drier, sunnier weather is expected for the weekend.
