Diamond Marshall’s family has set up a charitable fund in her name.
The nine-year-old girl lost her battle with cancer on Monday.
She captured hearts when she greeted the royal couple on the tarmac at the Calgary International Airport in 2011.

The Diamond Shine Fund will work to advance research and treatments for childhood cancers.
The Marshall family are investing $100,000 to start the fund and are hoping to raise $10 million dollars.
Donations are being accepted online by the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation at http://www.childrenshospital.ab.ca/MemorialGifts or the “Donate Now” section of the website. Contributions are also being accepted over the phone at 403-955-8818 from Monday to Friday, between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm.
