Someone at the mill called RCMP at about 7:50 p.m. that night and said Thomas was missing.

Police think he became hooked somehow on the 300-metres long conveyor belt and was carried into the silo. Thomas’ family has been notified of his death.

His body was recovered from one of the chip silos at the mill in the early morning hours of Dec. 11.

The BC Coroners Service, RCMP and WorkSafeBC are continuing to investigate Thomas’ death.
