Peachland Elementary school closed because of power outage

PEACHLAND – Parents of students at Peachland Elementary school are asked to make alternate arrangements for Friday.

BC Hydro is cutting electricity to the school from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. to make repairs to infrastructure damaged by this week’s heavy snowfall.

Staff are at Peachland Elementary to deal with families who are unaware of the school closure.

BC Hydro didn’t notifiy the district of the power outage until late Thursday afternoon when students had already left the school.
