UPDATE – Drive BC is advising travellers using the TransCanada east of Revelstoke Friday to give themselves extra time to reach their destination.
Rapidly falling temperature between Glacier National Park and Yoho National Park is causing wide spread freezing on road surfaces.
As well, forecasted strong winds could cause reduced visibility.
Crews are sanding and salting.
KELOWNA – Okanagan motorists heading to the coast or Alberta could encounter delays Friday
The Coquihalla Connector south of Merritt is closed at the Coldwater Interchange because of a vehicle incident. The estimated time of reopening is 12:00 p.m.
And avalanche control work on the TransCanada east of Revelstoke is happening between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Delays between 30 minutes and two hours are expected.
