WATCH: Reporter hit by flying skateboard on camera

WATCH: Amor leans up against a railing while shooting his story. Moments later, the reporter is struck by a runaway skateboard.

TORONTO – An Australian reporter was left counting his lucky stars after being struck by a flying skateboard during a video shoot.

Channel Seven’s U.S. Bureau Chief Mike Amor was leaning against a railing Thursday at a skate park in Venice Beach, California, when a board came flying out from the half-pipe and nailed Amor in the back of the head.

In the blink of an eye, Amor can be seen clenching his wound.

“Yep, I’m alright,” the reporter can be heard saying the video. “I’m good.”

The network’s morning program, “Sunrise on 7”, posted the video with commentary on YouTube. It has since gone viral.

Amor, meanwhile, seems to be a little embarassed by his new-found viral fame.

Even Channel Seven’s sports personality got in on the fun.
