BURNABY – The RCMP are investigating at a Burnaby restaurant this morning after a suspicious fire broke out overnight.
The fire broke out around 3 o’clock this morning at Anducci’s restaurant on East Hastings.
Fire officials say it started on the patio area at the east side of the building.

The flames blew out a window and there is some smoke damage to the exterior and interior of the restaurant.
“We had a fire on the outside of this restaurant here. It looks suspicious in nature right now,” said Asst. Fire Chief Ward Rossiter with Burnaby Fire. “We knocked it down quickly. There is some minor damage just inside the building, but the fire was cut off.”
The restaurant was closed at the time.
No one was injured.
