Investigators found the two men were transporting small spruce trees in the back of their truck and determined they were selling the trees for ornamental purposes.

When questioned, they admitted they did not have a harvesting permit for the trees and were subsequently charged under the Forest Resources Management Regulations.

Patrick Racette received a $5,000 fine while Reagan Racette was fined $500 after they pleaded guilty in Pierceland provincial court.
