Montreal’s 22nd murder: grow-op found on premises

Watch above: Police are investigating the city’s 22nd homicide, after the victim was discovered on the premises of a grow-op, in the Lachine borough of Montreal.

MONTREAL – Shortly after 9:00 p.m. on Friday, police were called to an apartment building on Thessereault street in Lachine,  where they found a 49-year-old man with multiple wounds on his body.

The man was transported to hospital where he was declared dead.

Montreal police spokesperson Danny Richer told Global News that the victim was known to police and added that
a marijuana grow-operation with 100 plants had been discovered on the premises.

Although the victim appeared to have been stabbed to death, police say they are awaiting autopsy reports before confirming the cause of death for Montreal’s 22nd homicide.
