Manulife real-estate fund adds two-building office complex to its portfolio

TORONTO – A real-estate fund at Manulife Financial Corp. (TSX:MFC) has acquired a two-building office complex in Burlington, Ont.

Financial terms weren’t disclosed in Manulife’s announcement Thursday. It said the deal closed Oct. 11.

The complex is on South Service Road near the Queen Elizabeth Way at the intersection with Appleby Line.

One of the buildings has six storeys and the other has five.

The property will be added to the Manulife Canadian Property Portfolio, which has a total of $290 million in assets under management. The portfolio grows to 15 income-producing buildings with the latest acquisition.
