Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for Metro Vancouver, saying a strong frontal system will bring, at times, heavy rain to the south coast.
Rainfall amounts of 50 mm are forecast for the North Shore, northern sections of West Fraser Valley and southern sections of Howe Sound.

The heavy rain will taper off to a few showers by Tuesday morning as the front moves away to the south.
The agency says localized flooding is possible in low-lying areas.
