MONTREAL — Quebec’s director of information technology has resigned after being in his post for just over a month.
Jean-Guy Lemieux submitted his resignation to the president of the Treasury Board on Wednesday. He took on the job on Sept. 17.
Martin Coiteux, the minister responsible for government administration and the president of the Treasury Board, confirmed Lemieux’s resignation and said he left due to a potential conflict of interest.
Lemieux’s brother, Claude Lemieux, is the vice-president of CGI, one of Quebec’s main technology providers with contracts worth more than $10 million per year.
