TORONTO – Arizona firefighters rescued a horse from a backyard swimming pool over the weekend.
Fire crews responded to a call of a horse in a backyard pool Saturday afternoon after the animal somehow fell into the water.
A veterinarian was dispatched to the home to tranquilize the frantic horse.
Video of the rescue shows the animal in the shallow end of the pool as firefighters worked to keep the animal’s head out of the water.
Crews used long, thick straps to slowly pull the horse from the pool.
Officials said the horse was uninjured in the incident.
There’s no word as to how the animal fell into the pool.
