Sask. election campaign officially starts Monday

One of the worst kept secrets in Saskatchewan is now official.  

Premier Brad Wall announced on Wednesday morning he will visit the Lieutenant-Governor late Monday afternoon and ask him to dissolve the legislature and issue the election writ.  

This will kick off the official election campaign.

In making the announcement, Wall said there is more work to be done in the province.  

“In the next few weeks, we will be talking about our government’s record over the past four years and our plan to keep moving Saskatchewan forward,” said Wall.  

“I think this will be about those issues that matter to people, things like green power, rent control, more money from potash, leeping our rural hospitals open and we’ll see how it goes but I’m optimistic we’ll be competitive on election day.” Said NDP leader Dwain Lingenfelter from Regina.

Saskatchewan heads to the polls on November 7th.
