TORONTO – A man has been seriously injured after being shot in Scarborough.
The shooting happened shortly before 1 p.m. Tuesday on Dawes Road near Victoria Park Avenue and St. Clair Avenue in Scarborough.

Police say the man was shot inside a building.
A Toronto EMS official tells Global News the man, believed to be in his 20s, was shot in the torso.
He suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries and is expected to recover.
Police are investigating.
