WINNIPEG — A blaze at Kildonan-East Collegiate Thursday caused so much damage the school will remain closed Monday.
The high school closed on Thursday after the fire.
Crews were called to the school just after 9 a.m.

The blaze started in the boys’ washroom on the second floor, school officials said.
Fire damage was confined to the bathroom but there is extensive smoke damage to the rest of the floor.
Police estimate there was $500,000 damage done.
Officers also believe the fire was deliberately set. The Winnipeg police arson unit is investigating.
