A man is in critical condition following a two-vehicle collision in Vancouver early this morning.
Vancouver police were called to the scene of a crash on West Broadway near Cypress Street shortly after midnight after reports of a sports utility vehicle heading east collided with a westbound car.
According to the VPD, they found the car with significant damage and a 29-year-old-man trapped inside. The victim was removed from the car by Vancouver Fire and Rescue and taken to the hospital with serious injuries and is currently in critical condition.
The driver of the SUV, who is a 31-year-old woman, was also taken to hospital as a precaution. Police investigators believe alcohol played a factor in the crash.
