Bella, a 16-month-old chocolate Lab tumbled down a nine-metre embankment in south Surrey this afternoon while chasing a ball.

The puppy’s owner tried to use a ladder to reach her, but in the end a high-angle rescue was needed.
Firefighters used ropes and a harness to pull Bella to safety and reunite her with her anxious owner.
