EDMONTON — RCMP are investigating after a person was killed in a collision on the QEII.
RCMP and Leduc Fire Services were called just after 8:30 p.m. Friday, to a three-vehicle collision about four kilometres south of Leduc.
The cause of the collision is not known at this time, but a car was heavily damaged by fire. A semi-truck was also forced into the ditch.
RCMP shut down the southbound lanes of Highway 2 for several hours Friday night as officers continued their investigation. Motorists were being diverted onto Highway 2A.
RCMP say the victim is a man who is in his 30s.
No other injuries were reported.
