Update (Sept. 26): iOS 8.0.2 is now available for download for all users. According to Apple, the update fixes the issues that affected iPhone 6 and 6 Plus users who downloaded iOS 8.0.1 and bugs originally found in iOS 8.
“We apologize for inconveniencing the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus users who were impacted by the bug in iOS 8.0.1.,” read a statement from Apple.
An Apple spokesperson told Global News Friday less than 40,000 iPhone 6 and 6 Plus devices were affected by the issues.

TORONTO – Apple has released a fix for iPhone users affected by problems with Wednesday’s iOS 8.0.1 update, which caused some users to lose cell service and disable their Touch ID fingerprint scanners.
The workaround allows users to revert back to iOS 8 through iTunes – a process the company typically doesn’t recommend.
“We apologize for the great inconvenience experienced by users, and are working around the clock to prepare iOS 8.0.2 with a fix for the issue, and will release it as soon as it is ready in the next few days,” an Apple spokesperson told Global News Thursday.

The tech giant pulled the update Wednesday afternoon following a flood of user complaints. However, the issues only appear to have affected iPhone 6 and 6 Plus devices.
Apple has full instructions on how to reinstall iOS 8.0 on its support website.
The company says it is preparing an iOS 8.0.2 update that will fix all of the issues associated with the 8.0.1 update and will “release it as soon as it’s ready in the next few days.”
