Convicted serial killer Clifford Olson, who is reportedly dying of cancer, is currently serving a life sentence in a Quebec prison.
The self-proclaimed ‘Beast of British Columbia,’ Olson confessed to the 1980s murders of 11 boys and girls, some as young as nine-years-old.
He is one of a number of infamous murderers in Canada.
Russell Williams
Once a colonel and commander of CFB Trenton in Ontario, Williams was convicted of the first-degree murders of Jessica Lloyd, 27, and Cpl. Marie-France Comeau, 37. Evidence presented at his sentencing hearing in October 2010 revealed him to be a sadistic serial rapist and killer with a penchant for ladies’ lingerie.
Robert Pickton

Over a period of four years, Robert Pickton lured dozens of women, many of them prostitutes from Vancouver, to his Port Coquitlam, B.C. pig farm. There, he killed them and disposed of their butchered remains. In December 2007, the Supreme Court of Canada struck down an appeal of his six murder convictions, staying another 20 murder charges against him.
Paul Bernardo
In 1995, Paul Bernardo was sentenced to 25 years in prison and was declared a dangerous offender for a number of offences, including two first-degree murders, of Leslie Mahaffy and Kristen French, and two aggravated sexual assaults.
Karla Homolka
Paul Bernardo’s wife and accomplice, Karla Homolka, served a 12-year sentence in prison for manslaughter as part of a plea bargain. She was released in 2005 and now lives under the alias, Karla Leanne Teale.
Gilbert Paul Jordan
Known as the ‘Boozing Barber,’ Gilbert Paul Jordan was linked to the deaths of at least seven women by alcohol poisoning during the late 1960s through the 1980s. He was released from prison in 2004 after serving a six-year sentence for manslaughter.
Michael Wayne McGray
Convicted killer Michael Wayne McGray is currently serving a life sentence in a Moncton, N.B. prison for murdering five people over a near 30-year period.
Allan Legere
Known as the ‘Monster of the Miramichi,’ Allan Legere killed five people and sexually assaulted another in New Brunswick during the 1980s. He remains in a Quebec high-security handling unit reserved for Canada’s highest-risk offenders.
