Born in Montreal, Freeway Frank was the host of the nationally syndicated Canadian Top 20 countdown from 2003-2007.

Prior to his morning position at Energy Calgary he was heard nightly on 99.9 Mix FM Toronto from 7pm – 11pm (2001–2007).
Freeway — also known as Franco Depalo — attended Montreal’s Champlain College and later, Concordia University.
His first taste of radio was at CHAM radio, followed by CIRL. There, he was program director and on-air host of the university station.
Professionally, Frank first worked for CHUM Limited in Montreal from 1990-93 at OLDIES 990 and 990 HITS.
In 1993, he moved to Vancouver, where he worked for LG73 “Tank and Frank at Night” and then was hired by Z95.3, where he hosted the evening program and Zed Top 30 of the week until late spring 2001.
He also hosted the mid-day program at Sirius Canada/USA from Dec 2005 to March 2007 (Channel 95-Iceberg Radio).
Freeway Frank is Italian Canadian and has fond memories of his time at Montreal’s Lester B. Pearson High School.
