A 20-year-old murder suspect from Washington State was arrested in the Metro Vancouver area this evening.
The King County Sheriff’s Office have confirmed to Global News that Kevin Patterson, who has dual citizenship, is in police custody in the Lower Mainland.
However, they aren’t saying when the arrest happened, or which police force was involved. They’re currently heading to Canada to meet Patterson.
Around 11 a.m. today, a person was found dead in Sammamish home, a suburb to the east of Seattle. It’s the first homicide in Sammamish since 1999.

Hours later, an alert was put out for Patterson.
King County Sheriff detectives haven’t released the identity of the person killed, or details of the crime scene.
According to his Facebook page, Patterson was born in Penticton, but moved to Washington when he was four.
