TORONTO- One person is dead after a house under renovation collapsed, burying three people beneath.
Toronto Fire Services division commander Bob O’Halloran told Global News the man was found under a beam and was declared dead by paramedics, but added it could take hours to remove his body.
O’Halloran said another man was also trapped by a beam but it was lifted off of him and he was safely removed.

Paramedics say he was transported to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Toronto fire says the roof of the home, on Brookdale Avenue, near Lawrence Avenue & Avenue Road, collapsed into the basement at around 2 p.m. on Tuesday.
The Ministry of Labour says two other workers were also on site but outside the home and suffered “very minor injuries.”
Toronto Fire wouldn’t confirm if anyone else was in the home at the time but said the construction team has been accounted for.
