Gallery: 2014 Cabbagetown Festival of the Arts

Global News was proud to sponsor the 38th annual Cabbagetown Festival of the Arts, which took place on Saturday September, 6th and Sunday, September 7th in the heart of Cabbagetown. Global News Weekend Anchor and Health Reporter Crystal Goomansingh hosted the opening ceremony, including the official cutting of the cabbage. Global News had a tent on-site with colouring for kids and a photo booth featuring a neat Cabbagetown Festival background with Global’s Leslie Roberts and Crystal Goomansingh.

Festival-goers enjoyed delicious food prepared by local restaurants, music, live theatre performances, artisan vendors, buskers and more. The Cabbagetown Festival of the Arts hosted artists such as Toronto AllStar Big Band, Project Phoenix and St. Jamestown Youth Centre Steel Orchestra. They also held the 35th Annual Blair’s Run and The Riverdale Farm Fall Festival.
