Prince Rupert RCMP said miscommunication caused the alarm.

The Fullers were travelling from Courtenay to Prince Rupert with a niece and nephew.

They met family for lunch at Oliver Lake near Prince Rupert on Monday, then left for Smithers, where they were scheduled to meet other family members at a motel the same evening.

Police said they are doing fine.
