VANCOUVER — Extra-curricular activities across the province have been suspended during the teachers’ strike, but it’s still “game-on” for high school football in many districts. Three quarters of teams have committed to play, even during the labour dispute. But the largest school district in the province – Surrey – has postponed the season until a resolution is reached between the teachers and the province. As Jeremy Hunka reports, the move has upset a lot of players, who say it has jeopardized their future.
